In my attempts to go green, have been doing the following for weeks now:
1. Handwashing clothes, including baby's cloth diapers. Seemed like crazy and challenging, now it is fun. Line drying also saves electricity. My new motto : 'Never waste a heat wave' :)
2. No to disposable diapers and an 'Almost no' to wipes..Kawaii diapers are a godsend so are Imse Vimse flushable liners
3. No to plastics, atleast in teh form of bowls and spoons and kitchen utensils..Been trying to take a silver spoon to work for my lunch. Somehow cant bring myself to pack lunch everyday. Should even try that
4. Grocery and produce bags - just ordered. Hopefully an end to that as well
5. Decomposable trash bags - next in line
All in all, I just long for the good old days, when everything was simple and reusable and green, without we even realizing that!
Will document more of the revamping and regrouping in my life..The idea is to get back to the good old days without becoming obselete! Quite a challenge!
